RISING AFROPOP SUPERSTAR TOBI TOKZ CONTINUES HIS WINNING STREAK WITH THE RELEASE OF HIS INSANELY INFECTIOUS EP ‘TOKEN’.

This Afro-pop/ Afro-beat EP will be a love anthem and social media influencer fave. The 5 tracks of the EP were excellently mixed and mastered by Patrick Osei and Ziey Kizzy of Hotmoney studios, UK, who cleverly fused elements of Afrobeat and Afro-pop into an infectious-soothing beat perfectly topped off with Tobi Tokz’s emotional and distinct vocal style. Describing himself as a multi-versed entertainer, performer, singer, and songwriter, who has always had a flair for music, Tobi Tokz known as Michael Oluwatobi Bhadmus is a star in the making.

This EP will certainly invoke a burst of emotions based on his narrative journey rooted in introspection. He brought his singular, harmonious combination of Afro-pop, R&B and Afro-fusion into play when putting this piece of art together. “The word ‘Token’ is defined as something that you do, or a thing that you give someone, that expresses one’s feelings or intentions. I choose the title ‘Token’ because I wanted to express and give people an insight into my emotions through the various stimulating experiences I have encountered in relationships and those I’ve witnessed other people experience” he explains.

He draws inspiration from the likes of Davido, Fireboy DML and Kwami Eugene and heavily influenced by emotional songs from artistes like Seal, Gabrielle, and All Saints. “I’m heavily inspired by Davido, I am impressed with his tenacity and longevity in the music industry. The passion he has for music is clearly displayed for all to see through his songs, music videos and his record label ventures. He has helped lots of artistes in the industry and his generosity extends to the numerous donations he has made to various charitable causes over the years” he goes on to say.
