Recognized for his unwavering commitment to leadership development and capacity building, Ogbu Okwuchukwu Agom was officially inducted as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Mentoring and Coaching (CIMC) in September 2020.

The induction, which took place during the Institute’s annual leadership conference in Abuja, spotlighted individuals who have distinguished themselves in coaching, mentoring, and human capital development across professional domains.

Agom’s journey as a mentor began during his early years at the Central Bank of Nigeria, where he served from 2015 to date in various capacities, including Security Services Officer, Teller and Currency Control Officer. During this time, he was actively involved in mentoring junior colleagues and leading internal training programs.

In his current consulting role at Enterprise Structure Development, Agom has played a pivotal role in coaching SMEs and their teams on best practices in supply chain management, project execution, and enterprise development.

“Mentoring is not a title, it is service,” Agom said at the event. “The most rewarding aspect of my career has been nurturing people, guiding young professionals and business owners to unlock their potential. This fellowship affirms that impact goes beyond numbers.”

The Institute commended Agom’s broad impact, noting that his technical mentoring sessions and coaching materials have empowered over 200 professionals across finance, logistics, and public policy.

Participants at the event were treated to thought-provoking discussions on mentoring in the digital era, psychological resilience, and adaptive leadership. Agom urged institutions to institutionalize mentorship as a core component of performance and succession planning.

With this Fellowship, Agom joins an elite circle of mentoring professionals working to reshape leadership culture in Nigeria’s public and private sectors.
