Abisola Dike: Transforming Workplace Culture and Driving Financial Success at Cashlink Leasing Plc
By Eniola Olatunji
In the fast-paced world of financial services, success is not just about numbers. Essentially, it is about the people behind those numbers, the systems that empower them, and the vision that unites them. Few understand this better than Abisola Dike, who, as Human Resource Manager and Senior Manager of Outsourcing at Cashlink Leasing Plc, has masterfully combined her strategic expertise in human resource management with financial stewardship, driving both organizational transformation and tangible success.
Cashlink Leasing Plc., a subsidiary of the Cashlink Group, provides financial services across Africa, alongside other companies in the group such as Novo Car Rentals, Orange Cabs, and Cashlink Bureau De Change. Since joining the company, Abisola has been instrumental in reshaping its internal culture and streamlining its operations.
Through her innovative approach to human resource management, she has introduced practices that have significantly improved employee engagement, talent development, and workplace culture.
Abisola has achieved certain remarkable feats at the organization. In 2009, as Senior Manager of Outsourcing, she led cost-saving initiatives that drastically improved the company’s financial performance. Her strategic vendor management and meticulous contract negotiations saved the company 15 million Naira. Her financial acumen didn’t stop there.
Abisola also took charge of budgeting processes that resulted in 20 million Naira in savings. By aiding the accomplishment of the broader goals of Cashlink Leasing with these financial strategies, she ensured the company was not only operationally efficient but also financially resilient, particularly in a challenging market.
At the core of Abisola’s success is her unwavering commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). Her leadership in promoting DEI has fostered an environment where employees are encouraged to bring their best selves to work, knowing that their contributions are appreciated and their professional growth is supported. This manifested in another key milestone of her career when she led an interdepartmental teamwork in her current role as the Human Resource Manager, that secured 100 million Naira in funding for the company. “Securing this funding was pivotal not only for Cashlink but also for Nigeria’s financial services sector,” she reflects. “From the outset, I prioritized the mental well-being of our employees and fostered a supportive environment that encouraged innovation. This approach empowered our team to invest their time, energy, and creativity effectively, enabling us to surpass our goals and drive meaningful results.”
By optimizing resource allocation, improving service delivery, and expanding into new markets, Abisola’s leadership has not only strengthened the company’s market position but also contributed to Nigeria’s economic development by creating jobs, enhancing financial inclusion, and fostering industry growth.
Abisola’s achievements at Cashlink Leasing Plc highlight the critical role that effective human resource management plays in driving not just cultural, but also financial success. By fostering an inclusive workplace culture, aligning operational efficiency with financial goals, and securing key investments, she has demonstrated how strategic HR leadership can transform an organization.
As Abisola looks ahead, her vision remains clear. “I believe in the power of people and culture to drive lasting success,” she says. “When you invest in your people, your organization grows with them. That’s the future I see for Cashlink Leasing Plc, and for every company that values its employees as its greatest asset.”
