Nigerian Idol Season 9: Omawumi, Ric Hassani, 9ice Announced as New Judges

For its ninth season, a new panel of judges will be vetting the music hopefuls that will grace the stage of Nigerian Idol. They are the iconic songstress Omawumi, R&B crooner Ric Hassani, and the legendary lyricist 9ice.

The trio will take over the judging panel which in previous editions had the current Director-General, National Council for Arts and Culture (NCAC), Obi Asika, songstress Simi and creative entrepreneur D’banj.

Nigerian Idol S9, with its theme “Let Your Dreams Take Flight,” is set to premiere on April 21, with live performances kicking off on May 26, 2024.
