Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has forwarded to the House of Assembly the names of 12 new commissioner-nominees for confirmation.
A letter containing the list of the nominees was yesterday addressed to the Speaker of the House of Assembly, Olamide Oladiji, signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Tayo Oluwatuyi.
The nominees are: Segun Ayerin; Olaolu Akindolire; Alhaji Hamidu Takuro; Dr. Banji Ajaka; Boye Ologbese; Sunday Akinwalere; Lola Fagbemi; Saka Yusuf Ogunleye; Rasheed Badmus; Olayato Aribo; Adewale Akinlosotu and Barr. Gbenga Olaniyi.
The governor urged the House of Assembly to give expedited consideration to the confirmation of the nominees.
Meanwhile, the new development comes 27 days after the governor swore in six newly appointed commissioners and eight special advisers.
The commissioners included: Mr. Emmanuel Igbasan; Engr Razaq Obe; Mrs. Omowumi Isaac; Olukayode Ajulo (SAN); Mr. Akinwumi Sowore and Mr. Oyeniyi Oseni while the Special Advisers are: Olugbenga Omole; Olamide Falana; Alabi Johnson; Summy Francis; Dr Olawunmi Ilawole; Babalola Ayoade; Abdulganiy Muhammed, and Prof. Simidele Odimayo.
