A philanthropist and Pro-Chancellor of Olivia University, Burundi, Mr Paul Chukwuma, has endowed N100 million to Holy Ghost Juniorate, Ihiala in Anambra, to build modern classrooms.

Chukwuma, a former student from 1989, made the donation during the school’s 70th anniversary and inter-house sports competition, which was held at the school compound.

He urged the school’s management to utilise the funds to build befitting classrooms with various learning aids to prepare the students to compete in a rapidly changing technological world.

“The training and discipline I received here helped in my development. The seminary taught me how to dream. It taught me determination, focus and perseverance. Most importantly, it taught me faith, to put my hope and trust in God,” said Chukwuma.

He added, “It is my passion to contribute to the development of the education of young people. I urge the students to remain focused and inculcate the virtue of self-discipline and delayed gratification and to pray regularly, never losing faith in God.”
