Aisha Cares Empowers Young Nigerian Women with Inaugural ‘The Bridge’

The newly launched Aisha Cares, a nonprofit organisation committed to women empowerment and advocacy, held the inaugural edition of The Bridge on March 21, 2024.

Convened by Aisha Abdullahi Adamu, Director of Child Rights Foundation (CRF) and Executive Director of New Age Conglomerate, the event attracted over 250 registrations, against the initial target of 50 women, underscoring its relevance and need in contemporary Nigeria.

“The Bridge is not a mere meeting but a platform—for networking and teaching—that seeks to unlock the potential of women by connecting them to other women,” shared Adamu, offering insightful perspectives on how better opportunities can be created for women to succeed in Nigeria.

Distinguished speakers such as Sandrah Tubobereni, Creative Director of TUBO; Dr. Hilda Ashio Titiloye, Lead Aesthetic Physician of SKIN101; and Oby Ohakim, Special Adviser to the Hon. Minister of the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment, graced the event. Their inspirational stories and expertise covered various topics including health and wellness, media, fashion, and creative entrepreneurship.

By bringing together women from diverse backgrounds, The Bridge not only facilitated networking but also offered valuable insights and strategies for personal and professional growth. As Aisha Cares continues its mission, the impact of events like ‘The Bridge’ promises to be a catalyst for positive change in the lives of Nigerian women.
