Tinubu Confirms Adeniyi as Customs Comptroller- General

 President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the confirmation of the appointment of  Bashir Adewale Adeniyi as the Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service.

The confirmation was confirmed in a statement issued yesterday by Willie Bassey, Director, Information on behalf of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume.

The statement which said the appointment took effect from October, 19, 2023 also added that Adeniyi’s tenure was in accordance with the extant provisions of the Public Service Rules (PSR).

The SGF said President Tinubu also asked the Customs helmsman to bring his wealth of experience to bear on his new assignment.

Adeniyi was appointed Acting Comptroller General in June 2023.
