The All Progressives Congress (APC), Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Young Progressives Party (YPP) yesterday lost no fewer than 3,000 members to Action Alliance (AA) in Kogi State ahead of the state’s governorship poll scheduled for November 11.

Unlike APC and PDP that are currently in the frontline, YPP collapsed its entire structures across the three senatorial districts into Action Alliance in the State.

While receiving the defectors from other political parties in Lokoja yesterday, AA’s gubernatorial candidate, Mr. Braimoh Olayinka described the party as a movement that has become an army of God who could not be defeated.

Braimoh said that he was happy because people had begun to see the light, saying people had been defecting to AA while expressing his delight to see the large crowd of defectors from APC, PDP and YYP.

He said: “We assured the party supporters that AA government will move the00 state from poverty to prosperity. The tenure of the incumbent government is expiring and it now time for him to be the next governor of Kogi State.

“The peace movement is determined that to move Kogi People out of poverty. We are becoming the Army of God .We are coming to this election with determination to win by God’s grace, we are moving from Poverty to Prosperity.

Zonal Chairman, Kogi West YPP, Ibrahim Mohammed said all members of YPP have resolved to AA, saying the members were convinced in the ability of young and dynamic governorship candidate of the party Braimoh Olayinka.

“We do not have YPP again in Kogi State. We are here to join AA because we believe that Olayinka will make us happy. By this action we have collapsed our structures across the state into AA as from today,” Ibrahim added.
