A ‘December in Ghana’ Promises to Be a Feast of Festivities and Culture

Leading up to its exciting lineup of activities in December, featuring a showcase of creative talents, top destinations, and exquisite cuisine local to Ghana, the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) recently hosted an interactive session in Lagos.

The event which was held at the Iwalewa Gallery of Arts in Lekki Phase 1 assembled a distinguished list of influential Nigerian travel influencers, content creators,  journalists, travel agencies, and other travel stakeholders to highlight the diverse and captivating experience for tourists and travellers.

One such offering is  ‘December in Ghana 2023,’ a festivity set to run from November through January with social events like Afrochella, AfroNation, Little Havanna, Akwaaba UK, African Food Festival, Taste of Ghana 4.0 and many more.

Commenting on the essence of the event, Director of Marketing, Ghana Tourism Authority,. Roberta Dawson-Amoah reiterated the importance of the engagement.

 “Tourism in Ghana is an experience that all should enjoy; it is time to showcase the totality of Ghana’s finest tourist attractions through amazing landscapes and wildlife, fashion, festivals and cuisines.”

She further expressed enthusiasm towards the upcoming ‘December in Ghana’ activities, lauding it as a new way to promote African music, fashion, food and other enchanting indigenous activities post the year of the return.

Infusing colour and cultural essence, various delicious Ghanaian dishes were served, including the popular Ghana Jollof rice. It was also an avenue for cultural exchange through formal interaction between Nigerians and Ghanaians.
