FG Files Fraud Charges against Senator Misau

Isah Hamman Misau

The federal government has filed two separate charges against the senator representing Bauchi central in the National Assembly, Isah Misau.

The charges were filed by the office of the Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF) at the Federal High Court, Abuja, and the other before the FCT High Court.

The suits followed the disagreement between the senator and Inspector-General of Police (IG), Ibrahim Idris.
The police had declared Misau a deserter after he accused the IG of collecting money from police officers before they are posted.

He also accused Idris of collecting money from oil companies and banks where police officers are sent to provide security.

Misau is accused of forging false documents comprising affidavits and declaration of age he deposed to at the Bauchi State Health Management Board birth certificate and FCT High Court.

He was said to have submitted these documents to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in 2011 and 2014 when he ran for public office.

The senator is also accused of making false statements that police officers pay N2.5 million to get special promotion and posting and also claiming that N10 billion is being received by Idris from oil companies and banks.
The offences are said to be contrary to section (1)(2)(c) of the miscellaneous offences Act Cap M17, laws of the federation of Nigeria, 2004 and punishable under the same section of the Act.

The suit against Misau is coming a few days after the Senate set up an ad hoc committee to probe the senator’s claims against Idris.

AGF Abubakar Malami is about to surpass and outdo his egregiously corrupt predecessors Mike Aandokaa and Mohammed Adoke. Malami is forever on the side of the corruptionists, after forcing Ibrahim Magu to release the criminal files of senators and ex-ministers to him; he used the files to frustrate the prosecution of the Akpabios, Sarakis, David Marks and Wamakos of this world. He got a percentage of their loot, or else, why haven’t any of them seen the inside of a courtroom, in the face of all the mountain of evidence against them?
AGF Malami is responsible for the loss of the government cases in the prosecutions of Orubebe, Justice Adenoma, Ngilari and dropping of the charges of the corrupt Supreme Court Justices.
I can imagine how much percentage he’d get for protecting IGP Idris, in the face of so much clear, credible and convincing evidence; a policeman that makes billions in corrupt money from IOCs and sale of promotions to undeserving staff, including unnatural sexual appetites. He’s prosecuting a Senator for calling for an investigation into the criminal conduct of the IG. Go figure!
I’m sure in his mind, Malami is in competition with his predecessors, on who would make the most loot from the position of AGF. DESPICABLE.
