Tambuwal Allocates Land to NAF to Build Secondary School

Sokoto State Governor, Alhaji Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, Tuesday said his administration has allocated land to the Nigeria Air Force (NAF) to build a new secondary school in the state capital.

Tambuwal made the remark during an inspection of Army Children School under construction in Shagari Local Government area of the state.

According to him, the present administration is always open to liaise with all relevant stakeholders to improve the standard of education in Sokoto State, adding that the state government would continue to work towards filling the deficit in the number of schools especially in the rural area.

To this end, the government said it has so far constructed 54 new schools to cater for areas that need such, which he said comprise 35 new Junior Secondary Schools (JSS) and 19 new Senior Secondary Schools (SSS).

“The locations of the schools are JSS Jamali (Binji council), Kurdulla and Akwalkiti (Gudu council), Bankanu and Maruda in Kware LGA and JSS Ciroman Bello and Tudun Yola in Sokoto North LGA,” he said.
