Shettima Presides Over NEC Meeting

Vice-President Kashim Shettima is presiding over the 146th edition of the National Economic Council (NEC) meeting, which is attended by state governors, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike; his Finance counterpart, Wale Edun and representatives of relevant Federal Government agencies.
The NEC, which meets every month, is expected to deliberate on various socio-economic issues affecting Nigeria as a federation.
Members are expected to consider issues ranging from the states’ report on State Police, the 2025 fiscal year and any other issues currently on the national front burner.
The meeting began at about 12:06 pm after Shettima arrived at the Council Chamber of the State House, Abuja, where the meeting is taking place.
