‘Ken Etete Library is Committed to Lifelong Learning in Nigeria, Africa’

The management of Ken Etete Library and E-Library on the Apapa campus of the Nigerian University of Technology and Management (NUTM) has expressed commitment to lifelong learning.

It stated that the library is a testament to the mission of Century Group, a leading energy infrastructure company that recognises quality education as a necessary social investment.

It added that: “The Ken Etete Library’s legacy will endure for years to come as the company commits to its continued improvement in anticipation of global reach and transgenerational impact.

In giving credence to the importance of nurturing talent and fostering innovation, it noted that the Century Group has forged a living partnership with NUTM, a strategic and novel nonprofit STEM University “dedicated to developing innovative leaders with competence in technology, entrepreneurship and leadership who would create a lasting impact in Africa and beyond.

“At the core of this donation is the belief that we must equip future generations with the requisite tools and knowledge to positively change the world through innovative solutions regardless of financial standing. The Ken Etete Library offers students and the wider academic community many digital resources and learning materials. In the heart of Lagos, now lies a profound centre of knowledge thanks to a kind-hearted donation by Century Group and its founder Ken Etete. 

The library is named in honour of the Oil and Gas maestro, Ken Etete, “a detribalised and non-conventional business leader with a deep love for learning and self-improvement; a firm believer in the power of knowledge to transform lives and communities for the advancement of Africa.

“Mr. Etete hopes that the library will inspire several generations to pursue excellence and touch countless lives through positive action. Through the collaboration between Century Group and NUTM, aspiring scholars can be assured that the tools and resources they need to succeed in the dynamic world of the energy sector are within reach.”

Library management said that Century Group’s donation reflects its passion to illuminate the path to a brighter future for all who dare to believe.
