Lawyer Appointed Senior Leadership Advisor and Research Fellow at NDA Kaduna

An Abuja-based lawyer and seasoned leadership consultant, Ekpa Stanley Ekpa, has been appointed as a Senior Leadership Advisor and Research Fellow at the Centre for the Study of Leadership and Complex Military Operations (CSLCMO) at the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) in Kaduna.

Head of CSLCMO, Dr. BJ Audu, conveyed this appointment in a letter dated November 20, 2023, citing Ekpa’s outstanding scholarship, leadership acumen, and dedication to the public good as the basis for his selection.

The letter emphasized that Ekpa’s role would involve providing technical expertise, informed insights, and timely policy advice to help the center fulfill its mandate, specifically focusing on leadership, security, and development issues for national development.

In his capacity as a research fellow, Ekpa is expected to contribute leading-edge thinking, engage in scholarly research, and implement evidence-based approaches to methodologies.

Ekpa, a lawyer and leadership consultant, is a graduate of the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), where he completed the Policy, Strategy, and Leadership Course in 2021.

He holds a Master’s degree in Leadership Studies from the NDA, an MSc in Political Economy, and a law degree from Obafemi Awolowo University.

As a Partner at Plan Partners, Ekpa brings extensive experience in advising both public and private institutions on constitutional, governance, infrastructure, development, enterprise, and regulatory matters.

Renowned for his TEDx talks and published opinions in national newspapers, Ekpa focuses on themes such as national productivity, responsible leadership, conscious citizenship, functional institutions, creative enterprises, and public policy implementation.

Beyond his professional achievements, Ekpa serves on the boards of various companies and organizations, including the Call a Lawyer Initiative and the Shared Future Foundation (Fixing the Future Initiative).
