 T4 Education Unveils Prize Winners, Stresses Best Practices

Organisers of the World’s Best School Prizes, T4 Education has announced winners of the 2023 edition of the global award initiative that aimed at societal growth and progress. 

The award produced five winners in five categories, who got rewarded with $250,000 to be shared among them. 

The organisers said the initiative was designed to celebrate exceptional schools committed to quality education and best practices, while emulating others to follow suit. 

“We are out to celebrate players for the pivotal role they play in developing the next generation of learners and for their enormous contribution to societal progress”, it stated. 

A Nigerian school, Government Girls Day Secondary School made the list of the 10 finalists, following which the best five in the five award categories emerged. 

The categories include: World’s Best School Prize for Community Collaboration, Environmental Action, Innovation, Overcoming Adversity and Supporting Healthy Lives. 

Winners in each category are identified as: SPARK Soweto, South Africa; Educativa Municipal Montessori sede San Francisco, Colombia; Riverside School, India; Max Rayne Hand in Hand Jerusalem School and EEMTI Joaquim Bastos Gonçalves in Brazil respectively. 

A new Community Choice Award was also presented to Escola Municipal Professor Edson Pisani in Brazil after it won the most votes of all the World’s Best School Prizes finalists in a public vote. 

Commenting, Founder of T4 Education, Vikas Pota commended the efforts and input of award partners, including Accenture, American Express, and the Lemann Foundation. 

 He applauded Spark Soweto school for emerging winner in the community collaboration category, stating that all applications were subjected to strict scrutiny by carefully selected judges.
