Kwankwaso Gives out Shekarau’s Daughter in Marriage

President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan, yesterday attended the wedding of Fatiha of Halima, daughter of former Governor of Kano State, Senator Ibrahim Shekarau.

The wedding took place at the Umar bn Al-Khattab Mosque, along Zaria Road,Kano.
The former governor of Kano State, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, stood as Guardian of the bride, Ameera Ibrahim Shekarau.

Presiding over the well-attended wedding fathia, the officiating clergy and Chief Imam of Umar Bin Kattab Mosque admonished the new couple about marriage institution and the need to exercise fear of God and patience in the life long journey.

The renowned Islamic scholar prayed for an enduring relationship between the couple and a blissful home endeared with love and faithfulness.

The Senate President was accompanied on the trip from Abuja by the Senate Leader, Dr. Yahaya Abdullahi, Senator Bello Mandiya and Senator Barau Jibrin.
