2023: Masari Predicts Victory for APC

Contrary to the permutations ahead of the 2023 general elections, the Katsina State Governor, Aminu Bello Masari, has predicted that the party would win the elections with a wide-margin of 30 million votes.

Masari said that the massive registration of APC members across the country during the party’s membership registration and revalidation exercise, even if only 70 per cent of those registered came to vote in the forthcoming polls, the party is sure of getting 30 million votes.

He said: “The APC has done well all over the country and we are going back for state congresses and finally we cap it to the national convention that would produce elected leaders of the party.

“We are laying solid foundation for the APC, preparing it for 2023 elections, which I hope the APC would win by a wide margin, because if we took the registration of membership of the APC even if 70 per cent of those who registered came out to vote for APC, APC is sure of getting close to 30 million votes.

“So we can say that success is only a short distance from us. We will be there and we will achieve it.”

Masari explained that the APC in the state adopted consensus for the just concluded ward and local governments congresses held in the 34 local government areas and 361 political wards of the state after a unanimous decision took during the APC stakeholders’ meeting in the state.

He, however, commended journalists in the state, particularly members of the correspondent’s chapel, for their foresight, effective and balance reportage and called for the tempo to be sustained.

Earlier, the Chairman of the Local Government Congress, Kumo, described the congress of the party as huge success, stressing that there was no parallel congress or skirmishes anywhere in the state.
