AirSmat Launches Technology to Boost Farmers’ Productivity

AirSmat has launched product and services that would ensure food security in Nigeria and the African continent by helping farmers and farm owners to have access to useful intelligence that would help them to take proactive steps in solving problems on their farms before harvest season.

This bid by the AirSmat to boost the productivity and profitability of Nigerian farmers by enhancing precision agriculture through the use of technology and artificial intelligence recorded another progress with the inclusion of the HighHill Group among its customers’ base.

The Chief Commercial Officer, AirSmat, Mr. Olasunkanmi Alabi, expressed delight that the company has successfully added HighHill Group to the list of customers benefiting from the services being offered to farmers across Nigeria.

Alabi said: “The AirSmat is focused on helping businesses harness power of drone, satellite and soil level data. Our approach in capturing data, ingesting data to our platform and processing same in an intelligent way and its ability to digest large amounts of data and draw precise conclusions will help farmers gain insight into their day-to-day farm operations.

Also speaking on the partnership, the Chairman, HighHill Group, and Founder of Gogreenafrica Initiative, Ambassador Sola Bunmi Adeniyi, lauded the technological initiative of the AirSmat to assist farmers achieve desired guaranteed bountiful yields.

Adeniyi said: “Our partnership with the AirSmat is to have a seamless knowledge of the farm features and activities which may not be visible to the eyes but with their artificial intelligence software, we will be able to identify the soil components and more details that will guide us on the crops to plant and where to apply fertilizers. VFD Group Unveils Process for 2021 Graduate Trainee Program

The VFD Group, a proprietary investment company, has started to receive applications from interested candidates that desired to participate in its 2021 Graduate Trainee Program (GTP).

The programme, which is in its 4th edition, would equip fresh graduates with requisite training, development, and emotional intelligence that would enable them to function in their chosen professional careers.

The application for the programme opened on Friday, August 27, 2021, and would end on Friday, September 3, 2021, and interested candidates are enjoined to apply for the training through the VFD’s website.

The Group Head, Human Resources, VFD Group, Damola Andah, explained that the group’s objective is to use the programme to build and sustain skill development that would contribute significantly to the nation’s economy in terms of output and employment.
