John Momoh, Ogah to Speak at NACJ Awards

Organisers of the Annual Integrity Lecture and Awards, the Nigerian Association of Christian Journalists (NACJ) have named Dr. John Momoh, Chairman, Chief Executive Officer of Channels Television and the Minister of Mines and Steel Development, Dr. Uche Ogah, as speakers for this year’s event scheduled for September, 2021 at Sheraton Hotel, Abuja.

Ogah will speak on this year’s theme, ‘Integrity is Everything’, while the Keynote Address tagged, ‘Media Integrity, Essential Ingredient for Building a Virile Nation’ will be preached by Momoh.

This year’s event will be the 9th since inception

As the 2021 NACJ awards gather momentum, past recipients of the awards have described it as a laudable initiative.

According to Mohammed Adamu, the immediate past Inspector General of Police, the award was a welcome idea that would further enhance the quality of leaders in Nigeria.

Former Assistant Inspector General of Police, Barrister Tunde Ogunsakin, described the award as a “priceless treasure”.

Dr. Boboye Oyeyemi, Corp Marshal of the FRSC said: “There is nothing more essential to a leader than Integrity.”

Rev Dr. Felix Omobude, the immediate past President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, (PFN), said: “The Award is worthy and motivating”.

Governor Aminu Bello Masari of Katsina State said: “I am glad to be a recipient of this priceless award because Integrity cannot be bought with money.”

Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State said: “I am highly excited about the Award because of its noble ideal.”

Pastor Wale Adefarasin of Guiding Light Assembly said: “The Award is an Honour that compels the recipient to remain Integrity-conscious.”

A statement issued by NACJ President, Dr. Charles Okhai, said the annual event “is a crusade against corruption.”

He adds: “The Integrity Awards is a Capacity building statement for excellent Leadership. We need men and women of integrity at our nation’s corridors of power to ensure a meaningful development of our nation.”
