Growing up in Egbeda
I was born at Egbeda and I am the first in a family of six. I am a native of Oyo State, Iganna to be precise. I schooled in Nigeria. I attended Topaz Emerald School, Egbeda for my primary education and Millennium Secondary School, Egbeda for my secondary education.
My style is very unique
I started music as a kid but it started professionally in 2015. I was actually into generator repairs and had plans to be a Mechanical Engineer before I decided to do music full time. My style is very unique, I actually don’t want to be known for a particular sound as I am a versatile artiste. I blend well on Afro-pop beats and dancehall.
In fact, play any kind of beat and I will be singing my lungs out. For me generally, good music is timeless music, songs that will last for decades and songs that people can learn from.
My inspirations
Akon is like my icon. He inspires me a whole lot and I also like Rihanna. My Nigerian Idol is 9ice, Wizkid and Davido. If you listen to my sound well, you will know they all have huge impact in the kind of music I make today. I see myself on the world stage as one of the biggest artistes across Africa.
Shout Out to Zlatan
I got signed to Zanku Records after the release of my song with Rahman Jago and Zlatan. Big shout out to my boss and friend, Zlatan for believing in me. It’s been blissful since signing this deal. I have known Zlatan for five years. I have a solid relationship with him and I respect him as well. Not just as a friend but also as a boss. Working with him has been great as he motivates me with the way he strives harder. It has helped sharpen my career with the platform he gave me.
The Nigerian music is where new talent surfaces daily
I appreciate the fact that the Nigerian sound is mainly what defines the African market today. And no gainsaying the Nigerian entertainment music industry has been good to me and it has helped sharpened my ability to strive harder daily.
