With social media playing a transformative role in what can conceivably be considered popular, the future of music is also changing, and the visibility that social media is giving has helped 22-year-old rapper, Litty Kavinci, better known as Litty, start to build a career. Already identifiable due to an unrelenting work ethic and sappy flow, he is leveraging social media to extend the reach of his music.
Born in Ohio, but spending part of his upbringing in Atlanta, Litty mixes the earnestness of Ohio music with the tonal fluidity of southern rap, distilling his reflection on life into bars that share his dreams and aspirations with his audience. One of the characteristics of the musician is that his music is rarely ever influenced by the same thing, living by the axiom is “I try to make myself not sound like myself.”
Already certain of where he is headed in life, Litty’s last project was a melodious affair titled Litty Infinities, displaying his knack for painterly rap with a condensed reflection on life and its inanities.
Commercially and attention-wise, the project didn’t meet the target set for it, but Litty is not one to let things get to him and moan about life. His next project, Vibes, finds him pushing the boundaries of melody and interjecting those hooks with more fully-fleshed bars. Already recognized as one of Ohio’s rising talents, this project will only further Litty’s ascendancy.
