According to a statement, the association has consistently done that in the past three years.
This was revealed by the Chairman of the AUPCTRE unit, Oladipo Agboola, during the distribution of welfare items to the members of the association.
He said, “We have always found ways of delighting our members at festive periods and we are not stopping at Easter but also at the Eid al-Fitr celebrations this year. These are periods when we need to make to bring succor to our members.”
He urged Christians to continually emulate Christ in their dealings with one another and also ensure that, “we epitomise peace at all times as entrenched in the Christian faith.”
“Also, our Muslim brothers should also imbibe the lessons of which include reflection, discipline, cleansing and giving in time of Ramadan,” he added.
Agboola also commended President Muhammadu Buhari, over the Decade of Gas Development which showed that Nigeria was gearing to join other developed nations in powering the economy with gas by 2030. He noted that the speedy passage of the Petroleum Industry Bill will greatly boost this initiative if it is done by the National Assembly.
According to him, “Nigeria as the sixth largest gas nation and ninth in gas export should optimize the consumption of this resource locally. The transition of other countries to the use of gas will be helpful to Nigeria as well,” he added.
