Moti-Cakes Awokoya, the director of Scotch Bonnet one of the trending restaurants in Lagos, has stressed that innovation and creativity remain key factors for businesses to thrive in Nigeria.
He also said at barely a year in operation, the restaurant based in Victoria Island is the rave due to its habit of innovating, even as it plans branches on the mainland And Lekki soon .
Stressing that with our country’s peculiar infrastructural and energy deficiencies, businesses have to constantly think outside the box, Awokaya in a chat in Lagos with newsmen, stated: “Doing business in Nigeria is challenging but one thing every business owner needs to realise is that you have to be innovative in everything you do, which is what we have been doing. We are just 12months old but since we started we have come up with so many new developments. “we started as just a restaurant and have constantly been adding more value.”
He pointed out that despite “specially crafted and unique meals, great entertainment, captivating ambience that caters to any kind of persons,” the organization has had to expand its scope of hospitality “as we now partner with a lot of local businesses.”
Further stating that running the business was no child’s play, the director said the results particularly the joy and impact made on customers more than make up for it.
