MTN Reconnects Youths in Calabar

Telco company, MTN, has taken it youth centric campaign ‘Pulse Campus Invasion’ to the University of Calabar, Cross River.
It was the second edition of the campaign.

The ICT Company kicked off the maiden edition of the series at the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, Osun State earlier in July, 2018.

As the Pulse Campus Invasion series left the students of OAU enthralled for the five (5) days of the event, the telco company ensured that it outdid itself at the University of Calabar and this was done with grandeur.
While the event lasted, there were various exciting activities packed into each day. The Sales Village which was situated at the Main Library of the University played host to hundreds of students and even non- students.

The students interacted with professional customer services experts who guided them through the many services offered. The Sales village was the home to all things fun and exciting. Raffle draws were held each day and students won various mouthwatering prizes such as brand new phones, headphones, branded T-shirts and bags, free subscriptions to MTN music plus (a music platform for downloading and streaming of the largest collection of Nigerian music). The Village also served as a location for students to have an involved interaction with MTN Pulse, a tariff based on a movement of young minded, bold individuals who are not afraid to express themselves.
Beyond the excitement and fun, there was also the highly anticipated Pulse Talk Series led by Life and Business Strategist, Steve Harris and make-up artist and lawyer, Tara Durotoye. Both gave scintillating talks on their life experiences and how those experiences have shaped their successes.

One of the highlights was the surprise celebrity visit to the Malabor Girls hostel in the UNICAL Campus by a popular Nigerian singer, Mayorkun, who dazzled the students with a performance of his hit songs.
The MTN team also paid a courtesy visit to the office of the Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Zana Itiunbe Akpagu. Surrounded by key members of the faculty, the Vice Chancellor, commended MTN for its support and for finding ways to empower Nigerian youth.
