The Senate on Wednesday referred the N244.2 billion 2019 election budget proposal of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to its Committee on Appropriation.
Upon resumption of plenary, the Senate immediately asked the Appropriation Committee to consider the election budget estimate as presented by the Chairman of the Committee on INEC, Senator Suleiman Nazif, which had worked on the estimates during the annual vacation of the legislature.
The Senate Committee on Appropriation headed by Senator Danjuma Goje is presently meeting in Senate Committee Room 202 to consider the proposals.
