Segun Adewale: Tale of A Desperado

It is no sin to be ambitious but it is bad enough to allow your ambition to blind you.

This is the tale of Lagos businessman and politician, Segun Adewale, a serial contender in Lagos West Senatorial District.

In 2007 and 2011, the Ekiti State-born multimillionaire contested election into the state’s House of Assembly, but lost amidst allegations of rigging.

In 2015, he also contested election into the Senate under the Peoples Democratic Party but was defeated by Senator Adeola Solomon.

Already, the man who was a factional chairman of the party loyal to Senator Ali Modu Sherrif before he was sacked by the court, has been described a confused and desperate politician, particularly when he recently contested the governorship poll in Ekiti State on the platform of Action Democratic Party, ADP.

The boss of Aeroland Travel has, once again indicated interest in becoming a Lagos senator.

Our source informed that he is contesting on the platform of the PDP, the party he dumped before going to Ekiti.

The source further disclosed that the man in the past few years has lost millions of naira to his political ambition, a development that took a toll on his businesses but he never cared.

“I don’t think anyone would reckon with him and trust him with their votes,” a source said.
