Group Drums Support for Buhari/Osinbajo 2019 Presidency

As part of the growing voices and groups calling and wooing support for President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo re-election as Nigeria President and Vice-President come 2019, a group of dynamic and committed like minds from all the states of the federation and Diaspora under the auspices of The Change We Believe (TCWB) have started their activities to reach out to Nigerians to believe and support this administration.

As the name of the group goes they believe in the Change mantra that brought in this government and have seen positive changes despite some initial setback. They are to confront the doubters and oppositions with facts about government achievements in key area of economy, petroleum/mines reforms, agriculture, transportation, TSA, IGR. infrastructural development, security, governance, integrity, security and others.

The TCWB group has lined up different strategies to archive their mission. They intend to meet with key government officials to get facts about projects and policies that had been executed or ongoing, then communicate such to the public through various form and channels of communications down to the grass root. According to the convener of the group, Philip Kachikwu “this group is not an attacking bull dog but purely an advocacy group that would communicate and disseminate information based on facts and figures in other to convince the public not to believe all the fake news about the President just to tarnish his image and his good works.”

He also said age is not a barrier as Mr. President is in good health and will make it to the end of his tenure.

The group through their various zonal administrators and states coordinators down to the local government representative will coordinate all their activities to archive this mission of seeing President Muhammadu Buhari re-elected come 2019. They will also work with the campaign organisation, the party APC and others groups to see this mission accomplished. In days to come lots more of their activities would be seen in all the medium of communications with the unique #TheChangeWeBelieve.

Kachikwu also said that “PMB have come to lay a good foundation and build the systems that works and a lots of Nigerians needs to key into this mission to make our country great, the economy grew from 0.8 to 2.5 per cent, lots of people are benefiting from NPower, we have good foreign reserve, leakages blocked, revenue generation like never before, Ministry of Petroleum/NNPC well structured for maximum performance, power generation had gone up, road/housing construction completed and ongoing, milestone in agriculture/ Ministry of Mines, Ministry of Transport doing great with railway, feeding of pupils in pioneer school , our foreign relation is great now as we are well respected and recognised to lead and by the time PMB leaves office the next president will have a good direction to run with. However, it might not be an easy task but it is doable and achievable.”

He said all that Nigerians need with this administration is patience, as three years cannot undo the bad and incompetent governance of over 40 years. He said they are convinced that by the end of the eight years of President Buhari administration Nigerians would be grateful to him.
