Yahaya Bello’s happiness, citizens’ pains

Kogi  State governor,  Yahaya Bello,  seems to be in a hurry to complete some of his personal projects before his government winds up.
While some, especially his fans, may see this as an attack on the governor,  his critics hold a contrary opinion, as they are quick to point to his newly completed  mansion in his home town.
Surprisingly, since the completion of the multi-million naira property, Yahaya’s popularity in Kogi State has been questioned.  It is said that so many people, particularly civil servants, did not share in his joy.
Many also claimed that the feeling of disenchantment among the people of the state is a pointer to the fact that he is not a man of the people.
“It is sad that the governor is carrying on as if lives of the people he governs do not matter to him. He is carrying on as if he will not leave the office someday,” said a source.
