Southern Sun Ikoyi Set for 6th Annual Golf Day Event

Southern Sun Ikoyi is back with its highly anticipated 6th edition annual Golf Day Tournament 2017, taking place at the lush grounds of the Lakowe Lakes Golf and Country Estate on Friday 10th November, 2017. 

The field of play for this year’s keenly contested Tournament will boast participation from about 72  experienced and intermediary players.

 The Deputy General Manager Southern Sun Ikoyi Cliff Shiridzinodya, stated last week that golfers should look forward to another exciting tournament. He said that the tournament is geared towards promoting the hotel’s corporate social responsibility and the tournament is designed to be a shotgun game ensuring that all partners and stakeholders of the Southern Sun Ikoyi brand have a truly memorable and fun day. 

Corroborating Mr. Shiridzinodya’s comments on the tournament being a laudable CSR initiative for the hotel, the Sales and Marketing Manager, Ubong Nseobot, added that the annual tournament affords the hotel with a veritable platform to giving back to its corporate clients and equally importantly, reinforcing sports tourism in Nigeria.  

Adding to the excitement of having the tournament at one of the leading resort in the country, the Key Account Manager, South African Airways, Elidoni Okpeta, stated commitment to the tournament by providing two return tickets for winners on a trip to Johannesburg, South Africa.

Other mouth-watering prizes as promised by other sponsors, with the Head of Sales, Mandilas Nigeria, Kenneth Nwauzoma, promised top winners to be rewarded with two horsepower air conditioners whilst 7-Up Bottling Company also promised product giveaways and hi-tech television sets to winning players. The Digital Marketing Specialist for Redbull, Ayo Olushekun, said that all players would be energized with drinks all through the tournament duration.
