The National Caretaker Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has described Senator Ahmed Mohammed Makarfi as reformer and bridge builder who has demonstrated an uncommon leadership qualities in his services to his home state, Kaduna and the country at large.
In a congratulatory message issued by the PDP spokesman, Prince Dayo Adeyeye, to felicitate with Makarfi as he marked his 59th birthday, the party said he had shown leadership prowess in the last two months trying to stabilise the ship of the party.
“The entire PDP family nationwide, wishes to warmly felicitate with our Chairman, Makarfi, a distinguished reformer, bridge builder and an icon of humility on his 59th birthday.
“No doubt, 59 years in the life of a man is indeed significant. Makarfi is a man who for the better part of his life has demonstrated uncommon leadership qualities in his services to his home state, Kaduna, as a governor for two terms, and Nigeria as a Senator of the Federal Republic.
“You have also shown your leadership prowess in the last two months by stabilising the ship of our party in transition towards a greater PDP, and under your leadership, Nigerians have renewed hope in the PDP as the only vehicle to rescue this great nation from hardship, deprivation and hunger that have bedeviled her in the last one year.
“While wishing you 59 hearthy cheers on your birthday, we pray that the Almighty Allah will bless you and your family with long live, good health and prosperity; so that Nigeria and indeed our great Party, the PDP will continue benefiting from your wealth of experience,” he said.
