The future is built through the opportunities we create for the next generation. From the classroom to the playing field, every experience that encourages young people to grow, compete and discover their potential matters. For Mikano Motors, supporting initiatives that nurture talent and create meaningful impact is one way to contribute to a future where young people have the confidence and resources to thrive.
Held from October 16 to 18, the Pan African School Games brought together students across Under-11, Under-13 and Under-15 categories for a spirited showcase of talent across football, swimming, running and other sporting disciplines.
Beyond this, the brand created an opportunity for children and families to engage with its vehicles up close, turning the display into an experience that extended beyond simply viewing the automobiles. For many of the students, the opportunity to explore the vehicles, discover their features and experience an electric vehicle firsthand sparked curiosity, excitement and fascination. These interactions offered a glimpse into the possibilities of modern automotive technology, allowing the children to connect with innovation in a way that was both engaging and memorable.
A highlight of the partnership was the recognition of The Grange School, overall winner of the Under-13 category. In celebration of its achievement, Mikano Motors gifted the school an 11-seater M60 bus, extending its support beyond the competition and into the everyday experiences of the school community.
The gesture reflects the value of partnerships that go beyond visibility to deliver practical benefits. While sporting competitions teach discipline, teamwork and resilience, support that extends into the school environment can help create more opportunities for students to participate, learn and grow.
For Mikano Motors, the Pan African School Games was about more than celebrating winners. It was an opportunity to stand alongside young people as they explored their abilities, built connections and experienced the rewards of dedication.
Because investing in the next generation is not simply about what they can achieve today. It is about helping create the conditions for what they can become tomorrow.
