Techyjaunt: Building Africa’s Next Generation of Tech Talent Through Education, Mentorship, and Industry Engagement
As Africa’s technology ecosystem continues to grow, Nigerian-based tech education platform Techyjaunt is working to bridge the continent’s digital skills gap through quality education, professional mentorship, and strategic industry collaborations.
Founded in 2023, Techyjaunt is committed to equipping aspiring tech professionals with the knowledge, practical skills, and guidance needed to thrive in today’s rapidly evolving digital economy.
Speaking on the organisation’s vision, its founder, Ezeudeka George Ikechukwu, emphasised the importance of education in driving Africa’s technological advancement.
“The problem with the African tech market is not products. It’s talent and the right education. Once tech enthusiasts get the right knowledge, guidance, and quality education, every other thing becomes better. Quality founders, quality products, quality services. Education is the starting point,” he said.
Since its establishment, Techyjaunt has trained over 12,000 individuals in various technology disciplines, including product management, front-end development, back-end development, blockchain development, UI/UX development and Data analytics.
According to the organisation, several beneficiaries of its programmes have secured opportunities with technology startups, while others have gone on to establish businesses of their own.
Building on these achievements, Techyjaunt recently launched a dedicated web application that allows aspiring tech professionals to access in-demand technology courses online, anytime and anywhere.
The organisation has also secured partnerships and collaborations aimed at expanding learning opportunities, strengthening mentorship programmes, and connecting emerging talent with industry professionals.
As part of its long-term vision, Techyjaunt plans to expand its educational programmes, strengthen industry collaborations, and provide more Africans with access to quality technology education and mentorship.
With Africa’s digital economy presenting new opportunities, the organisation believes that investing in human capital remains essential to unlocking the continent’s technological potential.
For Techyjaunt, the mission goes beyond teaching digital skills. It is about nurturing the next generation of innovators, entrepreneurs, and technology leaders who will shape Africa’s digital future.
