Kanyi Ajayi, Ezekiel Nathaniel Miss Podium in Silesia Diamond League

Nigerian sprinter, Kanyinsola Ajayi, finished 4th in the men’s 100m at the Silesia Diamond League with a time of 9.94secs behind Jamaican Oblique Seville who broke the Meeting Record to take the crown in 9.83s. American sprinters, Kenny Bednarek (9.87s), and Christian Coleman (9.93s), placed second and third, respectively at the Meet.


South African representatives, Gift Leotlela (9.95), Akani Simbine (9.96s), were fifth and seventh while Cameroon’s Emmanuel Eseme (9.99s) was ninth respectively.

Botswana’s Collen Kebinatshipi stole the spotlight at the Silesia Diamond League, smashing the meeting record to win the men’s 400m in a stunning 43.59 seconds.

Kebinatshipi produced a commanding performance to lead the field home, with American Rai Benjamin finishing second in 43.83s, his first-ever sub-44-second performance in the event.

South Africa’s Zakithi Nene completed the podium in 44.37s, underlining the strength of African sprinting on the Diamond League stage.

Nigeria’s Ezekiel Nathaniel also delivered a strong performance in the men’s 400m hurdles, finishing fourth in 47.83s.
