Flybird Invests in Drone Technology, Deepening Presence in Energy Sector

Flybird RPAS, the Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems division of Flybird Group, has announced a fresh investment in drone technology, amid energy sector shift to unmanned aviation solutions for safety and operational efficiency.
The firm disclosed that its advanced aerial solutions, alongside new integrated aviation solutions for offshore and onshore operations will be exhibited at the Nigeria Oil and Gas(NOG) Energy Week holding in Abuja.
It noted that the exhibition marks a key milestone in the company’s expansion across the aviation and energy sectors, adding the move was timely coming at a period when operators are seeking path to navigate operational challenges.
The firm informed also that it will be engaging industry stakeholders on planned expansion into offshore helicopter services.
“The entry is designed to provide personnel transportation, logistics support, emergency response, and aerial surveillance for offshore energy operators across West Africa, competing in a specialized aviation market traditionally dominated by foreign firms,” Flybird revealed in a statement.
Chief Executive Officer of Flybird RPAS, Chanel Scott, said the growing adoption of drone technology reflects changing operational requirements across the energy industry.
“Drone technology has become an operational necessity for organisations seeking safer, smarter and more cost-effective operations.
