Nadada: A Gallant Police Officer 

DIG Umar Shehu Nadada has distinguished himself amongst senior officers of the Nigeria police. Nadada, who hails from a humble family in Rano Local Government of Kano State, is renowned to have worked assiduously to defend the nation. 

He has built a respected paramilitary career that earns him commendations for his resilience, dedication, leadership, discipline and unwavering commitment to national service.

He is officer in charge of Department of operations for the Nigeria police. He fought terrorists and bandits in the volatile areas of the northeast, north central and northwest of Nigeria, sacrificing so much for the country to be at peace. Indeed, his gallantry has stood him out among his equals.

Nadada has also built synergy amongst Nigerian Correctional service, Nigerian Immigration, Nigerian fire service, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps and other paramilitary agencies in Nigeria. Specifically, he has done exceptionally well assisting the Nigeria police and civil agencies in maintaining law and order. 

 Nadada is a detribalised Nigerian, and religiously tolerant. He is man of destiny who is sworn to alleviate the suffering of the less privileged. He held numerous strategic positions, including Commissioner of Police (CP) for Nasarawa State and Commissioner of Police for Kastina. He served as the Assistant Inspector of Police (AIG) for zone 14 in Katsina state. His impactful contribution to the peace, unity and security in Nigeria will remain a source of inspiration to younger generation.
