Healthcare Tycoon Ahmed Omilana Sets Dynasty in Motion

Healthcare entrepreneur and physician, Dr. Ahmed Omilana, is no overnight success. As the Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of FitPlus Healthcare Limited, he has, over the years, scaled remarkable heights, earning a reputation for excellence and consistency in Nigeria’s healthcare industry.

His story is one of discipline, resilience, and quiet ambition. Omilana’s rise to prominence reflects years of hard work, unrelenting determination, and a steady transition from modest beginnings to entrepreneurial distinction. In many ways, his journey mirrors the classic tale of success earned through grit rather than chance.

He is credited as one of the first medical practitioners within the Isolo, Ago-Okota, and Surulere axis of Lagos to establish a fully integrated diagnostic medical facility combining specialist hospital services and fertility care under one roof. Through this model, he has continued to redefine patient experience by prioritising quality care, accurate diagnostics, and compassionate service delivery.

However, the Oyo State-born healthcare entrepreneur is far from done. Recognising the critical importance of world-class diagnostic infrastructure, he is currently investing billions of naira in a new state-of-the-art healthcare complex along the Lekki axis of Lagos State.

The upcoming facility, designed to meet global standards, will be equipped with advanced medical technologies and modern diagnostic machines. Omilana has reportedly taken a hands-on approach, personally overseeing project execution and ensuring strict adherence to timelines and quality benchmarks.

Amidst his busy professional engagements, the healthcare tycoon recently experienced a personal loss with the passing of his beloved grandfather at the age of 117. The late elder statesman, a respected community leader, has since been laid to rest according to Islamic rites in his hometown of Ayete, Oyo State. The final funeral ceremonies are scheduled to hold in November.
