New Seraph Announces Leadership Transition
The New Seraph Evangelical Ministries has announced a transition in its leadership structure with the appointment of Primate Michael Shodimu (Dubi) JP as the new National Chairman of its National Executive Council (NEC).
The announcement was made at the Annual General Conference (AGC) of the church which held from May 7th to 9th, 2026 themed ‘Revive Us O Lord’.
Beyond church administration, the conference addressed issues of pressing national concern including economic hardship, unemployment, rising cost of living, and social instability.
Founder and Iya Aladura General of The New Seraph Evangelical Ministries, Her Grace, Dr. Oluwaseye Yomi-Sholoye JP, in a statement, noted that the conference serves as an opportunity for the church to reassess its role as a moral compass of society while offering spiritual direction, compassion, and hope to the people.
“Beyond being a ceremonial gathering, TNS AGC 2026 serves as a defining moment for the ministry, a platform for assessing the present realities of the Church, strengthening unity among members, and charting a progressive course for the future of The New Seraph Evangelical Ministries and the Cherubim & Seraphim fold at large,” part of the statement read.
The event brought together ministers, church leaders, delegates, youths, and guests from across Nigeria and the diaspora in a gathering of spiritual renewal, reflection, strategic deliberation, fellowship, and collective vision for the future of the Church.
She commended the commitment, dedication, and responsiveness of the new appointed NEC while charging them to serve with integrity, unity, humility, and accountability.
The outgoing National Chairman, Apostle ‘Yemisi Iyun, the statement noted, will now assume duty as the Special Adviser to the Iya Aladura General on General Duties in recognition of his years of service and contributions to the ministry.
