Limi Children’s Hospital is set to host the Abuja Perinatal Symposium (APS 2026) this Friday in Abuja, bringing together healthcare professionals from across Nigeria to discuss ways of improving maternal, fetal, neonatal, and perinatal healthcare outcomes.

The organisers said the symposium is designed as a major academic and clinical gathering that will promote evidence-based learning, practical training, and multidisciplinary collaboration among experts committed to advancing newborn and maternal care in the country.

The event is scheduled to hold on Friday, May 15, 2026, at the Merry Makers Event Centre, Abuja, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

With the theme, “Optimizing Maternal & Neonatal Outcomes,” APS 2026 is expected to attract paediatricians, neonatologists, obstetricians, nurses, midwives, trainees, and other healthcare professionals from different parts of the medical field.

According to Limi Children’s Hospital, participants will benefit from expert-led scientific sessions, practical case-based discussions, and hands-on Paediatric Basic Life Support (PBLS) training aimed at improving clinical practice and patient outcomes.

Attendees will also receive current updates in neonatal and perinatal care, five Continuing Medical Education (CME) points, certificates of participation, as well as opportunities for professional networking and collaboration.

The hospital encouraged healthcare professionals to register and participate in what it described as an impactful learning experience focused on strengthening neonatal and maternal healthcare delivery in Nigeria.
