Former Amazon Analyst Olachi Gogo Achonwa Launches Elchiztrixx
After her time working in the United States with Amazon, tech professional Olachi Gogo Achonwa has returned to Nigeria to launch Elchiztrixx, a technology startup focused on business intelligence and data visualization.
Olachi, a former Amazon employee, recently participated in the company’s voluntary separation programme and used her severance package to build a platform that helps organisations transform raw data into actionable insights. Through Elchiztrixx, users can simply drag and drop CSV or Excel files to instantly generate data visualisations, enabling businesses to make faster and more informed decisions.
Her passion for data visualization began during her studies at the University of New Haven in Connecticut, where a data visualization class first sparked her interest in analytics and storytelling through data.
That curiosity later became a professional strength during her time at Amazon, where she consistently leveraged analytics and deep-dive analysis to identify operational opportunities, improve programmes, and enhance customer experience. Achonwa credits several of Amazon’s well-known leadership principles for shaping her professional mindset, including Customer Obsession, Invent and Simplify, Learn and Be Curious, Insist on the Highest Standards, Bias for Action, Have Backbone; Disagree and Commit, and Deliver Results.
One of her notable contributions at Amazon came during the Short-Term Capacity Optimization project, where she managed the setup and approval of the D+1 forecasting process. Her work improved forecast accuracy by 15 percent, reduced same-day capacity variance by 22 percent, achieved 92 percent D+1 forecast accuracy, and lowered staffing variance by 20 percent, significantly reducing capacity misalignment across Amazon’s Last Mile operations.
Now back in Nigeria, Olachi is channeling the same passion for data-driven decision-making into helping African businesses unlock the power of their data through Elchiztrixx.
“Data should not be complicated or inaccessible,” she said. “Businesses should be able to quickly understand their numbers and use them to make better decisions.”
As Nigeria’s technology ecosystem continues to expand, Olachi hopes Elchiztrixx will empower entrepreneurs, startups, and established companies to adopt a stronger data culture and make smarter strategic decisions.
The startup is also building an online presence to engage with the tech and data community. Updates about the platform and its tools can be followed on Instagram at @Elchiztrixx.
