Easy Events Academy Graduates New Set of Event Professionals in Ekiti

The Easy Events Academy has graduated a new set of professional event planners, reinforcing its growing reputation as one of the institutions shaping the future of the event management industry in Ekiti State and beyond.

The graduation ceremony, held on April 29, 2026, celebrated participants from the Batch C 2025 and Batch A 2026 Academic Sessions, marking another milestone in the academy’s mission to professionalize event planning through structured training and practical exposure.

Unlike conventional training programs, the graduating students organized and executed their own graduation event as a final practical project, following three weeks of intensive classroom learning and multiple fieldwork internships designed to expose them to real industry operations.

Seven participants received certificates at the ceremony, bringing the total number of trained professionals produced by the academy to 37 graduates since its officially commenced operation in February 2025.

Training Beyond Theory

The training combined event business strategy, planning systems, coordination techniques, guest management, and hands-on execution — reflecting the academy’s philosophy that event management is best learned through practical experience.

Graduates expressed excitement and fulfillment at completing the program, describing the training as a transformative journey that helped them rediscover purpose and confidence in pursuing careers within the creative industry.

Many participants noted that beyond learning new skills, they relearned professionalism, structure, and discipline, expressing gratitude to the academy for equipping them with the confidence to begin their professional journeys immediately.

According to the graduates, the experience has prepared them to put their knowledge into practice within Nigeria’s fast-growing event industry.

Building Professionals, Not Just Events

The academy is an initiative of Easy Events Management Services LTD, founded by Nigerian event strategist Stephen Olajide, popularly known in industry circles as Mr. Easy.

Widely regarded as one of the pioneers of structured event management practice in Ekiti State, Olajide established Easy Events to transform event planning from informal coordination into a professional, system-driven industry.

Speaking during the ceremony, he reiterated the academy’s vision:

“Our goal is not just to train planners but to raise leaders who will build sustainable event businesses and elevate industry standards.”

He added that increasing industry complexity now demands trained professionals who understand systems, leadership, and client experience.

Strengthening Ekiti’s Creative Economy

Since its launch, Easy Events Academy has positioned itself as a growing talent pipeline for the region’s creative economy, producing planners now supporting weddings, corporate events, social celebrations, and destination productions across several Nigerian states.

Industry stakeholders increasingly acknowledge the academy’s contribution to expanding professional opportunities for young creatives and strengthening the structure of the Ekiti event ecosystem. This impact was recently recognized when the academy received the Rising Star Award at the A-Z Entrepreneur Summit 2026, affirming its role in developing new industry leaders.

The graduation ceremony itself showcased the competence of the students, highlighting planning precision, teamwork, branding execution, and guest experience management — skills developed throughout their training and internship period.

Next Training Begins in June

With growing interest from aspiring planners and entrepreneurs, the academy announced that its next professional training session will commence in June 2026.

The program runs as a hybrid training model, combining physical classroom learning, virtual sessions, mentorship, and real-event practical exposure.

The academy operates three training sessions annually — February, June, and October, allowing flexible entry points for individuals seeking professional certification.

The training is open to:

• aspiring event planners within Ado-Ekiti and environs,
• event vendors seeking structure and business growth,
• creatives transitioning into event management,
• entrepreneurs looking to build profitable event brands.

Organizers say the upcoming session will continue to emphasize practical learning, mentorship, and industry immersion — pillars that have defined the academy since inception.

A Legacy in Motion

From pioneering structured event planning practice in Ekiti State to raising a new generation of trained professionals, Easy Events continues to expand its influence beyond event execution into education, mentorship, and industry development.

As the newest graduates step into the marketplace, the academy’s impact is becoming increasingly visible — not only through successful events but through a growing community of professionals equipped with the skills, confidence, and systems required to thrive.

For Easy Events Academy, the mission remains clear: to build people, professionalize the industry, and shape the future of event management in Nigeria.
