Chemstar Group CEO, Awode, Loses 86-year-old Mother

The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Chemstar Group, Dr. Emmanuel Aderemi Awode, has lost his mother, Prophetess Delphine Modupe Awode, who died in the early hours of April 28, 2026, at the age of 86.

The deceased, widely known as a devout Christian and respected figure within the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church, was described as a matriarch of the Awode family and a woman devoted to the service of God and humanity.

Pastor Bamtefa Rotimi of the Victory District, Ikorodu, in a statement announcing her passing,  behalf of the family, said Mama Awode lived an exemplary life marked by humility, love, and unwavering faith.

“With a heart full of gratitude to God for an exemplary life well spent, the Awode family and the Cherubim & Seraphim Movement Church (Ayo Ni O), Victory District, hereby announce the passing unto eternal glory of our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother,” the statement read.

The family added that burial arrangements would be announced at a later date.

Until her death, Prophetess Awode held the revered title of Most Senior Special Mother-in-Israel and served as matron to several church bands and associations, earning admiration across the Christian community.

Meanwhile, tributes have continued to pour in from church leaders and associates, who described her as a pillar of faith and a source of inspiration.

Also condoling with the family, the Church Secretary of CSMC Divine Blessing Cathedral, Alagbado, Lagos, Pastor Femi Thomas, expressed sadness over her passing, noting that she “joined the saints in glory” after a life of service to God.

The church extended its condolences to Dr. Awode, a member of the Board of Trustees of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide, and prayed for strength and comfort for the entire family during this period of mourning.

The late Prophetess Awode is remembered for her lifelong commitment to Christian service and her impactful role within the church community.
