Vaniti Lagos Addresses Claims Over Drink Quality, Requests Evidence

Vaniti Lagos has responded to recent claims made on social media alleging that customers were served adulterated drinks at the club, stating that its sourcing and supply processes are designed to prevent such incidents.

In a statement posted on the official Instagram handle of its CEO, Uyi Ogbebor the management explained that it maintains direct partnerships with global beverage manufacturers to ensure product authenticity.

“The same applies to all our partnerships with Global Wines (Moët Hennessy) and Pernod Ricard (Martell),” the statement read.

The club said its supply chain is structured in a way that makes the circulation of fake products unlikely. To support this, it shared documentation showing its dealings with international brands.

“Given the structure mentioned above, we do not believe fake drinks could be found at Vaniti,” the statement added.

The response comes after a TikTok user posted a video claiming he traveled to Lagos from Moscow with four friends and experienced stomach aches after visiting the club. In the video, he accused the establishment of selling fake drinks.

Vaniti Lagos noted that no receipts, payment records, or medical reports have been provided to confirm the visit or the reported illness. “We also note that the individual behind this campaign does not appear to be based in Nigeria. As such, they should provide more circumstantial and sufficient evidence of their visit or partying at Vaniti via receipts of drink purchase, payments of said purchase, or similar proof,” the management said.

The company said it is taking steps to understand the situation fully. “We are doing everything within our power to get to the bottom of this,” the statement noted, adding that it remains open to reviewing any verifiable information.

As part of its review, Vaniti Lagos has asked customers who were at the venue on the date referenced to share their experiences.
“We also urge our esteemed customers who were genuinely present that night and consumed drinks at Vaniti on the specified date to come forward if they experienced any issues afterward. This will allow us to resolve this matter properly and transparently.”

The club maintained that it takes customer safety seriously and that all products sold on its premises are sourced through authorised channels. It said it will continue to cooperate with relevant parties to clarify the claims.
Separately, Sir Uyi addressed the situation in an Instagram post, saying he intends to share more about his business journey in the future.

“A book is coming, my story. my truth. My evidence. Every deal. Every betrayal. every lesson. Names. Dates. Receipts. Everyone who has walked through my life in business should get ready. I have kept quiet long enough. Coming soon,” he noted.
In an earlier post, he added, “Some of these people don’t really know me. I will write a book one day. Some think I’m just one small boy that hammered money and came to Lagos to do business.” He also stated, “I will no longer remain quiet in the face of attacks.”
