A seasoned financial strategist, Dr. Kunemofa holds a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from Rivers State University and a Master of Business Administration from the National Open University of Nigeria. She is a Fellow of the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN) and the Institute of Strategic Management of Nigeria, and also maintains membership in several professional bodies, including the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria. Her professional journey has been further strengthened by executive leadership training at globally renowned institutions, including Harvard University, London Corporate Training (UK), and the Metropolitan School of Business and Management (UK).

Her outstanding contributions to public service have not gone unnoticed. Dr. Kunemofa has received multiple recognitions, including the Peace International Award for Excellence in Public Service and Financial Management, alongside an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Leadership and Financial Management in recognition of her dedication to transparency, accountability, and development-driven governance.

Beyond her responsibilities at the NDDC, Dr. Kunemofa continues to contribute to continental leadership and peace-building efforts as Vice Chairperson of the Board of Advisory Council of the 100 Most Notable Peace Icons Africa, a pan-African initiative committed to promoting peace, leadership, innovation, and sustainable development across the continent.
