Nigeria’s President, Bola Tinubu, and former President Olusegun Obasanjo are among the leading figures featured in an upcoming coffee table book profiling the country’s most powerful and influential personalities.

The publication, titled ‘Maddtimes Power List,’ is a 537-page compendium that spotlights 100 individuals across politics, business, traditional institutions and public life whose actions continue to shape Nigeria’s trajectory.

Also featured are business magnate Tony Elumelu, advertising veteran Biodun Shobanjo, and banking executive Nneka Onyeali-Ikpe, among others drawn from diverse sectors.

Published by Maddtimes, the book is the result of over seven months of research and editorial work led by Joseph Edgar, who described the project as an attempt to document the dynamics of power and influence in contemporary Nigeria.

“The list shows the good, the bad and the ugly,” said Edgar.

Beyond the rankings, the publication with the overarching theme ‘Visionary Leadership as a Catalyst for National Socio-Economic Growth,’

includes 50 essays examining leadership and national development. Contributors include former Lagos State governor Babatunde Raji Fashola, the Olu of Warri Ogiame Atuwatse III, legal scholar Kanyinsola Ajayi, policy analyst Magnus Onyibe, and former lawmaker Dakuku Peterside.

Each of the 100 personalities is profiled through biographical essays accompanied by illustrated caricatures, offering both visual and narrative insights into their influence and legacy.

The book is scheduled for launch in October 2026, with unveiling events planned in Lagos and Abuja. Organisers say it is intended to serve as a reference point for understanding leadership, power and public impact in Nigeria.
