Abuja Set to Host National Art Exhibition on Nigerian Leadership, Youth Empowerment
In commemoration of the 74th birthday of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Artifact Galleries in partnership with Red Carpet Protocols, is set to hold a national art exhibition on March 24, 2026, in Abuja, titled: ‘A Nation in Portraits’.
The event is billed to take place at the A-Class Event Centre, Diamond Hall, beginning at 4:00 p.m., and is expected to attract a cross-section of Nigeria’s political, business, diplomatic, and cultural elite.
The event will be hosted by Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma, while former Zamfara State Governor and Senator, Abdulaziz Yari, will chair the occasion and the President’s daughter, Folashade Tinubu-Ojo, will serve as Grand Host.
According to the organisers, the exhibition will feature the unveiling of hyper-realism portrait paintings of prominent Nigerian, State Governors and international figures who have made significant contributions to leadership, governance, and development in the Country.
Among those whose portraits will be showcased are President Tinubu, First Lady Oluremi Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima, State Governors, members of the National Assembly, traditional rulers, and leading figures in business and innovation.
Convener of the exhibition and founder of Artifact Galleries, Toyin Jinadu, described the event as a cultural initiative aimed at celebrating leadership while promoting the role of art in nation-building.
“This exhibition is more than an artistic showcase. It is a cultural tribute to leadership and a statement about the transformative power of the creative industry in shaping Nigeria’s future,” Jinadu said.
Beyond the exhibition, organisers said the event would also spotlight plans for the Bola Ahmed Tinubu Centre for Arts & Vocations (BATCAV), a proposed institution aimed at training Nigerian youths in visual arts, photography, videography, graphic design, printing, and other creative skills.
The centre, according to them, is envisioned as a national hub for talent development and cultural preservation, with the potential to boost youth empowerment and position Nigeria’s creative industry as a key driver of economic growth.
The organisers added that the exhibition is designed to serve as a visual archive celebrating leadership and influence while promoting Nigeria’s growing creative sector.
With preparations in advanced stages and artworks nearing completion, invited dignitaries, stakeholders, and members of the public have been urged to attend what is being described as one of the most significant art gatherings in the country in 2026.
