Tinubu Felicitates Aide and Grassroots Sports Promoter, Adeboye Adeyinka, At 60

President Bola Tinubu has felicitated his aide and sports administrator / renowned promoter of grassroots football, Adeboye Anthony Adeyinka, on his 60th birthday on March 11, 2026. 

The President, in a statement issued on Wednesday by his Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, highlighted Adeyinka’s contributions to youth and sports development in the country and to the maintenance of security in Lagos through the instrumentality of Team Lagos.

Tinubu said through Adeyinka’s efforts, many young people have found fulfilment in life and a pathway to success. 

The President wished him many more years, good health, and continued impact in Lagos State and Nigeria.

Adeyinka, fondly called Zulu, is the Director-General of Team Lagos, established 27 years ago, which has collaborated with the Lagos State Government to promote peace and security in the state.

Zulu previously served as Special Assistant to the Governor of Lagos State on Football Matters from 2013 to 2015 and later as Senior Special Assistant on Sports, during which he coordinated sports development initiatives and grassroots sporting activities across the state.  

He is at present the Senior Special Assistant on Grassroots Sports Development in the Presidency and also Chairman of Smart City Football Club.
