Despite political tension in Nigeria characterized by insecurity, kidnapping, widespread violence, ethnic ccrises and Boko Haram insurgency, Nigeria cannot experience another round of war.
The Chief High Priest of The Spiritual Kingdom Church of Christ (SKCC) in Ikot Ekpene Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State, Chief Samuel Chinda Edidem, yesterday stated this during the celebration of the ascension of the Founder of the church, His Holiness Edidem Bassey.
Chief Edidem, who is the heohead ofe Ecclesiastical Council of the church, stressed that there would be no more war in Nigeria after the one fought 40 years ago.
He said the prediction was anchored on an earlier prophecy by His Holiness Edidem Bassey, who prayed during the civil war, and the three-year-old war ended immediately.
“Our father, Edidem Bassey, whom we are celebrating his ascension to heaven today, prayed at the time of the Nigerian civil war, and God answered him, and he assured us that there would be no more war in Nigeria.
“That covenant between our father and God is respected by God Himself till today. Therefore, we can authoritatively say that Nigeria would not see war again.
“Without the prayer of Edidem Bassey, the NNigeriancivil war would have escalated to a third world war because of the interest of world powers in that war.
“Although the war recorded losses to both individuals and the nation, it would have lasted longer than necessary, but God answered the prayer by His Holiness Edidem Bassey, and it ended with ‘no victor, no vanquish’.”
The high priest maintained that if Nigeriwere told disintegrate in the future, nobody would go to war before the separation. It will be a peaceful separation without shedding of blood.
In next year’s election, the Head of the Ecclesiastical Council disclosed that the election would be conducted peacefully and the acceptable winner would be announced without rancour by political parties or interest groups.
He added: “Election is one of the issues that divides the nation and sometimes causes war, but next year’s election will be peaceful and smooth.
“Nobody can rob this country of the peace negotiated with God by our father many years ago. I, therefore, urge Nigerians to continue to live in peace with one another,r as no insurgency from any group can panic us.
“The pockets of violence and killings we observed in some parts of the country are temporary and will soon disappear.”
Delivering her goodwill message at the ascension ceremony, the Mother General, lo Caroline Gabriel Edidem, recounted the benefits of King Edidem Bassey while dwelling on earth physically among the Gentiles.
“The eyes of the most holy king are always watching over us. He is always ready to hear, answer, fight, and save us; only put your trust in him.”
The ascension ceremony featured a choir rendition from all branches of the church, goodwill messages, a children’s choir, and reflections of life and times of His Holiness Edidem Bassey while he was on earth.
