Big Chinni Storms UNIJOS, Poly Barkin Ladi in Valentine Campus Tour

In a Valentine season marked by music, movement and youthful energy, fast-rising singer Big Chinni lit up campuses in Jos as she embarked on a strategic tour to connect directly with students — her core audience.

The ‘Baby Yo’ crooner , whose real name is Oluchi Anyikaeme Faith, took her brand closer to undergraduates on February 13, 2026, with an energetic campus tour across key institutions and locations in Jos, Plateau State.

Big Chinni presently , a 300-level student of Archaeology and Heritage Studies at the University of Jos (UNIJOS), began the tour at her home institution where she connected with students across different faculties. The tour extended to Plateau State Polytechnic, Barkin Ladi (often informally called Poly Barkin Ladi), and several UNIJOS hotels, attracting enthusiastic crowds of undergraduates eager to identify with the budding campus star.

The artiste also moved beyond the campuses into the Jos metropolis, visiting major hubs including the popular Terminus Market and Bukuru Market, where she interacted with traders and residents, further expanding her reach within the city.

Explaining why she chose to focus on campuses at this stage of her career, Big Chinni said the decision was deliberate and inspired by her core audience.
“What made me direct my focus to campuses is that as a student most of my fanbase are in school and taking that direction was very necessary because before now, I have performed for different faculties and I think that motivated me to take this campus direction,” she said.

She described the experience as encouraging, noting that the reception met her expectations.
“The reception and energy was okay,” she added.

Students who turned out during the tour described the initiative as inspiring, particularly as it was championed by one of their own balancing academics and entertainment.
