Juwon Lawal Razaq Completes Executive Programme at Imperial College London

Businessman and Kogi State indigene, Juwon Lawal Razaq, has completed an Executive Programme at Imperial College Business School in London. This advanced curriculum sits above the MBA level, focusing specifically on global business strategy and executive leadership.

On 21 December 2025, his achievement was formally marked as he joined the Imperial College Business School Hellenic Association, an exclusive network of senior alumni.

Born in Ilorin, Kwara State, the 46-year-old entrepreneur is an indigene of Kogi State and belongs to the Yoruba-speaking Okun people.

His journey into leadership and business strategy began early. After the death of his father in 1999, 14-year old Razaq took the reins of the family’s palm kernel oil business, a move that provided his first masterclass in management.

He transitioned into the professional energy sector in 2005 with the launch of Stevepel Energy Resources Limited, eventually pivoting from agribusiness into the maritime and oil industries. His business interests are vast and geographically diverse, with operations spanning Nigeria, the United Kingdom, the United States, and the UAE. From 2016 to 2019, Lawal served as a Senior Trader at Singapore’s Winson Oil Trading Pte Ltd .

Lawal’s academic portfolio is extensive. He holds a B.Sc and an MBA from Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, alongside executive education from Saïd Business School, University of Oxford. As the founder of Crestal Group (formerly Africent Group) and AfricentOCL UK, his interests now span marine logistics, oil and gas as well as commodities, complemented by his Texas- based firm, JuwonOil.

Outside the corporate world, Razaq serves as a UN Eminent Peace Ambassador through the International Peace Advocates. He is also a member of the Commonwealth Entrepreneurs Club and was inducted into the Forbes Business Council in 2020. Despite these global roles, he remains a deeply private individual. He is known for keeping his personal life out of the spotlight while remaining meticulously intentional about the growth and reputation of his brands.
